Roles & ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Hiring (50%)• Develop and lead a talent acquisition plan for our portfolio by working closely with them on their journey, mentoring our founders on building teams that help them scale• Grow our network by building “top of funnel” candidates and deepen our relationships with the best talent search firms in a scalable way - to primarily help portfolio companies with their talent needs• Build towards a robust database of candidates, by role interest, experience and our internal ranking• Help founders with sourcing, recruiting, and designing compensation strategies to close candidatesSoma Hiring (30%)• Consistently generate top of funnel leads for Soma team across all open roles• Use a combination of job boards, LinkedIn, and personal networks to distribute JDs and process workflows / scheduling / pipeline of candidatesHuman Resources (20%)• Collaborate with management team to establish and execute on organizational HR processes• Prepare and process monthly expense reports, tracking costs against budget• Manage employee payroll and relationships with vendors (Gusto, Rippling, Lattice, etc)Qualifications• 2-5 years of experience working in recruiting at a startup, search firm, and/or in the talent function at a VC firm.• Deep understanding of recruiting operations; candidate experience, systems, tools, interview process, and recruiting metrics• Proven track record of sourcing candidates• Experience supporting senior executives, hiring manager, and teams• Comprehensive understanding of how to build diversity & inclusion recruiting strategies• Strong “consultative skills” and the ability to build strong relationships with talent and portfolio companies• San Francisco, New York, Miami preferred; remote possibleTO APPLY: Email team@somacap.com with: your desired role(s) + LinkedIn profile + resume + 1 paragraph on “what’s your superpower” and how it could equip you to be the best person for the role.
