About the role

As the Sr. Product Designer on the Product team, you will own the user experience & design aesthetic of Pangea’s web and mobile applications, which allow our customers to send money securely and efficiently to their loved ones abroad. You will help us define and deliver clean, intuitive, and appealing UX experiences to our users as we continue to evolve our product offering. Successful candidates will deeply understand the customer journey, own the overall design system and bring designs to fruition working closely with product managers and engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the look & feel of the Pangea app & design frictionless and intuitive customer-focused experiences
  • Define the UX for new initiatives including elements of visual design so that customers have a consistent & cohesive experience across initiatives and platforms
  • Deliver wireframes, site maps, user & process flows, prototypes and design assets to the product & engineering teams for efficient execution
  • Build & evolve the Pangea style guide making it easier to deliver software across our desktop and mobile applications.
  • Optimize funnels and user flows, directly impacting customer retention and activation
  • Implement best practices for improving our design workflows and design documents; scaling design standards as we grow

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of product design experience leading UX for applications demonstrating excellent interaction and visual design skills
  • Experience providing comprehensive UX documentation that takes the ambiguity out of the design experience for product managers and developers
  • Ability to deliver on short-term needs that fit into the long-term vision, including creating sketches and user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished, production-ready user interface and visual designs.
  • Strong understanding of UX design practices, with experience working within a design system
  • You’re a self-starter with excellent time management skills and passion for working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Familiarity with data tracking tools like Mixpanel or Google Analytics
  • Experience in planning, conducting and performing user experience activities such as one-on-one interviews, prototyping, concept testing, surveys, usability testing, etc. and the ability to evaluate and compile the results
