Overall Purpose

The Data Analyst I supports the daily operational needs of the NV & AZ Operations team. This role focuses on analyzing operational market data, creating reports, and creating content for executive level presentations.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze operational market data to identify trends, performance gaps, and insights that support daily and strategic decision-making for the Operations team.
  • Develop and maintain recurring operational reports, dashboards, and scorecards that support leadership visibility into market performance.
  • Create high-quality presentation content for executive-level audiences, translating complex data into clear visuals, summaries, and talking points.
  • Perform ad-hoc data pulls and analyses to support operational leaders, market teams, and special projects.
  • Validate data inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational standards.
  • Organize and structure data from multiple sources, ensuring information is clean, reliable, and ready for reporting or presentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, analytics, and leadership, to gather requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Document recurring processes, validation steps, and reporting workflows to support continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data accuracy, or automate recurring tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with HEDIS, HCC coding, Global Risk and Population Health a plus.
  • Experience working with healthcare claims, utilization management, and care management
  • Experience in healthcare management within a global risk environment.
  • Ability to interpret operational data, identify patterns, and produce actionable insights.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Experience using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools to build clear and compelling reports.
  • Understanding of value-based care operational metrics, workflows, and performance indicators commonly used in field or market operations.
  • Foundational knowledge of data validation, data quality concepts, and data structures.
  • Awareness of reporting best practices, including accuracy, clarity, and executive‑level communication.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL queries, and structured data environments.
  • Knowledge of basic business analytics concepts, including trend analysis, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, executive‑ready narratives.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, data entry, or related technical roles (internships welcome).
  • Exposure to SQL, spreadsheets, and basic data tools through coursework, internship, or prior work.
  • Experience performing data validation, quality checks, or simple data transformations is a plus.
  • (Preferred) Experience working with healthcare data or in a regulated environment (e.g., HIPAA) but not required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or experience.

Salary Range: $85,000-100,000
