We are currently, seeking a talented, experienced RF Communications Engineer to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment. As a Comms IPT lead you will manage all communications systems for the LTV vehicle including Direct to Earth, Relay to Earth, and all lunar surface comms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design state-of-the-art RF communication systems for satellites and rover systems
- Manage and integrate satellite and rover systems to meet rigorous requirements
- Develop and validate complex antenna/RF designs with trade studies, modeling, and simulation
- Build and test RF systems, including antenna/payload communications subsystem
- Create test plans, specifying hardware and software, while adhering to industry standards and regulations
- Support business development with customer solutions and engagement
Required Qualifications:
- Understanding of space system requirements and the ability to pull together complex systems to meet those requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the hands-on build and testing of RF systems, including using and building test racks
- Ability to define and conduct tests to validate antenna and RF designs against mission requirements
- Experience in creating detailed test plans, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet cost and regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Excellent management skills and experience with management software
- Experience developing and managing vendor requirements and specifications
- Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on RF payloads or Antenna Theory
Any offer of employment for this position is conditional upon Lunar Outpost receiving the LTVS Phase II contract from NASA. If the contract is not awarded to Lunar Outpost, this offer will be considered null and void, without further obligation to Lunar Outpost.
