Come join our team as Corporate Meeting & Event Sales Lead in Austin, TX with the potential to add-on additional markets. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building awareness of The Austin Highland Venues, including the Hideaway Biergarten, The Overlook, The Penthouse and Expansive corporate meeting and event venues. As well as, conducting needs analysis and tours of our venues with the goal of selling corporate meetings and event bookings/contracts. This position reports to Expansive’s National Manager of Corporate Meeting & Events.

Key Responsibilities

● Generates profitable new business through prospecting and enquiry handling within the local market to achieve monthly sales targets.

● Conducts tours, with a goal of converting prospects into customers by effectively listening and selling the entire product range.

● Prospects to generate leads through local companies, partnerships, and commercial real estate brokers, meeting planners

● Is knowledgeable of market trends and stays up-to-date on competitive data.

● Effectively manages, leads, and continuously updates CRM throughout the sales process.

● Create business marketing plan and conduct outreach activities to build meeting and event leads.

● Achieve monthly lead and revenue goals

● Responsible for proper “hand-off” to onsite staff or scheduled event staff for every event

● May also include knowledge of the logistics and execution of the event to successfully staff the event yourself and/or manage other 1099 staff members as needed

● Partner with National Meeting & Events Manager to approve all Event Staffing invoices

● Manage the Austin Highlands Venues Instagram and LinkedIn following brand standards, marketing approval, etc. where applicable

● Communicate regularly with National Manager, Corporate Meetings & Events (NMCME) for support and approval of all discounts, modifications, major contract questions, etc.

Qualifications

● 2+ years experience in a sales and marketing role within the hospitality industry

● Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the ability to network at high level and build strong business relationships

● Proven objection handling, prospecting and negotiation skills

● Customer service focused with the ability to remain flexible and calm under high pressure situations

● Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively with minimal supervision

Compensation:

● Unlimited earning potential of commission + hourly pay for events worked

● Review at 90 days with opportunity to add additional buildings and responsibilities
