The Dentologie South Lake Union dental practice is seeking a full-time Hygiene Assistant to support the hygiene team as well as provide outstanding patient care!

A Hygiene Assistant with Dentologie will have excellent hourly pay ($25-26/hr,) growth opportunities, benefits package, full-time hours with a balanced schedule, and to be part of an outstanding (fun!) culture!

Schedule:

• Monday: 12:30pm-7:30pm
• Tuesday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Wednesday: 12:30pm-7:30pm
• Thursday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Set up operatories: instruments, ultrasonic inserts, radiograph equipment, polish and fluoride
• Turn over rooms quickly and thoroughly
• Break down rooms with instrument transport, surface disinfection, waste disposal and restocking
• Clean, package and autoclave instruments
• Run biological monitoring and keep sterilization records accurate
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, PPE and bloodborne pathogen protocols every day
• Greet and escort patients, review medical history updates and chief concerns
• Take blood pressure (where applicable) and get patients comfortable before the hygienist steps in
• Reinforce home care, product recommendations, post-treatment instructions
• Take radiographs (FMX, bitewings, PAs and pano where applicable) to high image-quality standards
• Prepare anesthesia setups, fluoride, desensitizing agents, perio charting materials, and laser or bacterial testing setups when used
• Help with chart organization, consent forms and referral paperwork within your scope of practice

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Required: DA experience or active WA state dental assistant registration number.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
• Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
