The Role We Want You For
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for taking projects from conceptual stages through closeout. You will work as part of a team to provide the best solutions on design-build projects.
The Specifics of the Role
- Oversight of engineers tasked with quality and timely execution of design/build projects, including all design coordination, pre-construction services, construction management and post-construction services, these tasks include scheduling, subcontractor bid package preparation and analysis, document control, cost reporting and preparation of subcontractors.
- Oversee project pay request process.
- Monitor project costs and Job Cost Reports.
- Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
- Lead the project’s quality process.
- Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes.
- Build client and subcontractor relationships.
- Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
- Establish project forecasts and budgets.
- Manage costs.
- Accept full responsibility for project execution.
- Mentor and develop project management staff.
- Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel.
- Negotiate and secure new business.
- Responsible for the safety, quality, and profitability of projects.
- Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and assist in labor negotiations and strategy meetings.
- Monitor/control construction to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Maintains, tracks, and reports all financial aspects of the project.
- Facilitate and participate in client presentations and project interviews.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field), or foreign degree equivalent, and 8 years of experience.
- 8 years of experience conducting field work in environment safety for the construction industry.
- 8 years of experience providing quantity survey and estimates, analyzing subcontractor pricing, monitoring scopes, and negotiating subcontracts.
- 5 years of experience working with a CPM Schedule.
- 5 years of experience generating RFIs and reviewing submittals for the construction industry.
- 5 years of experience with any combination of the following: BIM 360, PM Web, Blue Beam or Building Connected.
- Position requires relocation to various unanticipated worksites within continental U.S.
- Requires up to 75% of time at assigned worksite, including various unanticipated worksites within the continental U.S.
- Requires domestic travel up to 25% of time to project sites.
- Employer will accept any suitable combination of full and part-time equivalent employment experience.
