About Clayco Systems and Equipment Innovations (SEI)
As part of our integrated service offerings, Clayco’s Systems and Equipment Innovations (SEI) offers a turnkey solution to execute complex building systems and process systems. Clayco SEI provides preconstruction, design, purchasing, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and process scopes of work.
The Role We Want You For
The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for Project Procurement Execution within SEI. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for PMWEB and Procore Systems Administration, material and equipment delivery coordination, and document control. This role will require timely and effective communication with vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members. The Procurement Engineer will play a key role in supporting project success by ensuring procurement activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with project schedules and company standards.
The Specifics of the Role
- PMWEB and Procore software management and administration
- Issue Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Contracts
- Understand and implement equipment and material specifications
- Conduct vendor shop visits and project site visits as needed to ensure quality of work and timely deliveries of material
- Document control for buyout efforts
- Coordinate submittal reviews and Submittal Log
- Manage Vendor contracts
- Coordinate and lead Vendor lunch and learn sessions
- Electronic file and folder structure management
- Work with Accounting team and review invoices
- Assist in researching and evaluating new vendors and subcontractors
- Coordinate SEI Procurement meetings and document Meeting Minutes
- Assist in updating and maintaining master subcontractor/ vendor database
- Maintain Project Procurement Log
- Assist with the project planning and scope development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Conceptual ability to work with minimum information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Our clients and projects are nationwide – Travel will be required.
