The Role We Want You For

We’re looking for a curious, collaborative engineer who thrives on learning and growth. As a Network Engineer, you'll be the operational backbone of our enterprise network infrastructure keeping critical systems running smoothly while diving into modernization projects around automation, observability, and cloud networking.

The Specifics of the Role

Network Operations & Support (Primary Focus)

  • Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across branch offices and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
  • Respond to network incidents and service requests—diagnosing issues, implementing fixes, and documenting resolutions
  • Monitor network health and performance using observability platforms
  • Support and configure Cisco Catalyst switching/routing, Cisco Meraki wireless and SD-WAN, and next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, FortiGate)
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Assist with Aruba ClearPass NAC operations and endpoint visibility initiatives

Project Work & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to network implementation projects including installations, configuration rollouts, migrations, and upgrades
  • Maintain network documentation—diagrams, runbooks, configuration standards
  • Collaborate on automation initiatives to reduce manual repetitive tasks
  • Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, and security

Modern Observability Initiative

  • Partner with leadership to design and implement network observability using platforms like Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic
  • Integrate network telemetry for real-time visibility and proactive issue detection
  • Help shift from reactive monitoring to proactive observability

Learning & Growth

  • Actively learn new technologies and practices in cloud networking, automation, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Collaborate and knowledge-share with team members
  • Stay current with emerging technologies through training, certifications, and conferences

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of networking experience with increasing technical responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and wireless networking concepts
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba enterprise platforms
  • Understanding of firewall policy management and VPN configuration
  • Basic understanding of cloud networking (Azure, AWS)
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, New Relic)
  • Understanding of DevOps/GitOps practices and network telemetry
  • CCNA or equivalent (JNCIA, Network+)
  • Cisco Meraki CMNA, Palo Alto PCNSA, or Aruba certifications
  • Azure AZ-700 or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
