The Role We Want You For
As a Practice Technology Manager – Advanced Services, you will apply civil engineering and construction management principles to serve as technical resource for construction projects.
The Specifics of the Role
- Overseeing the entire project technology stack and directing staff to successfully execute specific tasks, including utilization of UAV Drone.
- Support a range of Engineering and Construction Technology related workflow from preconstruction through project completion.
- Work closely with the Construction Project management team to deliver optimized data sets that will make construction job sites safer and better performing.
- Establish processes of monitoring execution of construction job site tasks and UAV missions, and compliance with safety best practices.
- Establish operational guidelines for UAV deployment on construction sites.
- Act as a first point of requirements resolution between project teams and adherence to federal regulations, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as it relates to engineering projects.
- Facilitate completion of construction projects, including UAV programs and policies.
- Work with third-party contractors in scheduling missions, collecting and processing data, and distributing final products in line with engineering and construction objections.
- Train and monitor the training of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and VDC team members, including on the use of UAV technology for reality capture.
- Support construction operations, including photogrammetry and laser scanning across the construction site, and processing and distributing related data.
- Utilize best practices using the Building Information Modelling (BIM) 360 platform, including monitoring document management process; reporting and tracking equipment needs; implementing applicable safety programs; and submittal issues and QA/QC process management.
Requirements
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field) or foreign degree equivalent.
- 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience with GIS systems and Civil Engineering requirements.
- 2 years of experience with managing Unmanned Aerial Systems for use in construction projects.
- 2 years of experience with Photogrammetry processes.
- The position may require domestic travel required up to 5% per year to visit construction project sites.

- The salary range for this position considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: Education, qualifications, skills, training, experience, certifications, internal equity, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The Clayco Nationwide salary range for this position is approximately $90,875 - $100,000 +/- annually (not adjusted for location).
