The Role We Want You For
We are looking for a hands-on and adaptable Field Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. If you enjoy troubleshooting, traveling, and working directly with end-users in a fast-paced environment, this role offers the perfect opportunity to apply your technical skills across a wide variety of remote jobsites nationwide. You’ll be the frontline support for our construction technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and outstanding customer support for our teams across the U.S.
The Specifics of the Role
- Provide technical support for remote Clayco jobsites across the U.S.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Meraki networks and Mesh Wi-Fi systems
- Set up and support satellite communication and Cisco AV Room Kits (Webex)
- Deliver on-site and remote support for Windows, Office, iOS, printers, and other hardware
- Work closely with internal teams (Service Desk, Engineering, Development, VDC) to resolve incidents
- Create and maintain knowledge articles and user training documentation
- Support the setup and maintenance of AV and cellular technology (cradlepoints, hotspots)
- Conduct post-resolution follow-ups and preventative maintenance
- Assist with project planning and the technical setup of new jobsites
- Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers
Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience in IT support or field service
- Comfortable with 60%+ travel across the U.S.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use hand/power tools
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, iOS, and ServiceNow (or similar ticketing systems)
- Familiarity with AV setups and basic networking concepts
- Service industry or construction experience a plus
