The RoleWe Want You For

As a Clayco Design and Engineering (CDE) Intern you will assist the Engineering and Technical Team members in managing design and engineering projects for clients in the food and beverage, distribution, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, and consumer product spaces. The internship program culminates in a final presentation at the end of the summer to be viewed by fellow CDE team members.

The Specifics of the Role

• Work with CDE Engineers to help design and refine client processes and facilities.
• Develop 2D and 3D models of client facilities and processes in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D, and STAAD.
• Build client and subcontractor relationships. Communicate with vendors and solicit proposals for project equipment.
• Travel to CDE project sites to help develop and refine solutions for our clients.
• Work on developing cutting edge engineering deliverables that will create tomorrow’s manufacturing technology.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University (Major in an Engineering or Technical Design Discipline preferred).
• General knowledge of engineering and CAD principles/practices required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
• Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency.
• Self-starter who can work well on a team.
• Capable of walking the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding.

Compensation

• Intern Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour based on expected college graduation month/year.
