The Role We Want You For

The Project Scheduler Intern assists in the building and maintenance of the project schedule and the different baselines in accordance with Clayco’s policies, owner requirements, and the on-going analysis of the network logic and validation as it complies with the intent of the project team. All Clayco employees are required to support our code of ethics and protect the company’s assets.

The Specifics of the Role

• Assist with periodic progress updates of in-progress schedules by collecting all necessary data for updates. This process requires jobsite walks and meetings with Superintendents and field supervision.
• Gather update data from multiple sources, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, Owners' Representatives, and subcontractors, ensuring all data is approved by the Project Manager before incorporation.
• Support the maintenance of Project Schedule Baselines in accordance with Clayco’s policy and contractual requirements.
• Help generate periodic performance reports, including Critical Activities Reports, Baseline Deviation Reports, Earned Value Performance Index Reports, and Project Cash Flow Reports.
• Support the preparation of Monthly Schedule Reports, including assisting in drafting the Monthly Schedule Narrative.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University, pursuing a bachelor’s in business administration, engineering, construction management, or related degree.
• Preferred internship experience in the construction industry.
• Preferred knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices is required. – used for the Cost Engineer Intern
• Preferred knowledge of applicable computer software such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software programs. - used for the Cost Engineer Intern
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Results oriented and deliver on customer commitments.

Compensation

• Intern Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour based on expected college graduation month/year.
