ABOUT THE ROLE
The Payor Contracting Manager will be responsible for managing the full contracting lifecycle — from securing new payor agreements to negotiating renewals — with a focus on achieving competitive reimbursement rates and favorable terms. This role will work across multiple states and with both national and regional payors to support Array’s operational and financial objectives.
As an individual contributor, the Payor Contracting Manager will prepare contract proposals, lead negotiations through execution, document all contracting activity in Salesforce, and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure agreements are implemented accurately and efficiently.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Identify and pursue new payor partnership opportunities to expand Array’s network participation nationwide.
Lead end-to-end negotiations for new and renewed contracts with commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, from initial outreach through term finalization.
Conduct comprehensive contract analysis to identify opportunities for improved rates, terms, and alignment with organizational strategy.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive benchmarks to inform contracting strategies.
Partner closely with legal, finance, operations, and clinical leadership to ensure contracts are compliant, operationally feasible, and financially advantageous.
Maintain a centralized record of contract terms and ensure accurate hand-off to implementation and operational teams.
Document and track all contracting activities, status updates, and related communications in Salesforce to ensure visibility and accountability across the organization.
Provide periodic reporting and insights to executive leadership on contracting progress, performance, and emerging opportunities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of progressive experience in payor contracting, ideally within behavioral health, telehealth, or multi-state provider organizations.
Demonstrated success negotiating with national commercial payors and Medicare Advantage plans, including risk-bearing provider entities.
Strong understanding of multi-state regulatory environments and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Proven ability to develop contracting strategies that balance financial performance and market competitiveness.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, capable of interpreting complex contract language and financial models.
Comfortable working independently while building alignment across diverse internal stakeholders.
Results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding contracting targets.
Highly organized with the ability to manage and track multiple contracting initiatives simultaneously.
Adaptable in a rapidly evolving healthcare and regulatory environment.

100% remote position
Required to have a private office space in home or elsewhere for confidentiality
Reports to CFO
Collaborates extensively with legal, finance, operations, and clinical leadership.
Partners with implementation teams to ensure smooth operational integration of new agreements.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The pay range for this role is $103,000 - $113,600 annual. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position using current market data. The final offer will be determined based on an individual's skills, years of experience, education, capacity, licenses, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
